The Ca' d'Ora is an excellent hotel. It was always a treat to return to the hotel. Down a side street, with a view to a canal, then through a gate and into a garden area in front of the hotel. It has been created out of a former estate, so the rooms are large and is uniquely shaped.
We realized immediately that our room was the outlook that they have on their website. From the window, we can see the in two directions as the canal winds its way through the city. What I thought was wallpaper turned out to be cloth, with a striped green and red pattern that hangs in front of the wall. This probably to protect the material from any sweating in the concrete.
The main floor is for the reception, a lounge with WIFI, and a breakfast room. Everyone was courteous, friendly and very helpful. A solid 4* hotel, on Venice Island and close to San Marco.
