WELCOME WORLD to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC. We are READY!!!
The venues are in place, the media is here, red mittens are flying off the shelves, athletes are starting to party and preparing for their sports, the city is full of excitement and the energy is flowing!
Tomorrow the Olympic Torch passes our home and we will be out on the street wearing red in support of the Canadian Olympic Team. Let's hope my voice lasts for the next day in the office. Tickets are almost sold out to all the games and we are looking forward to the Gold Medal Hockey Game. GO CANADA GO!!! We have our invites in hand for the numerous Houses around the city starting with the Holland House at the O Zone, then to the German House, Switzerland House, and many more.
The Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies are so hush hush that it will be interesting to see the final outcome for both. Wonder who is going to carry in the torch for the Lighting Ceremony???? The final torch run through the city will include celebrities such as Jann Arden, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Walter Gretzky (Wayne Gretzky's father) just to name a few. There is some speculation that perhaps Wayne Gretzky will carry in the last torch for the Lighting Ceremony. Time will tell soon enough.
As we go through the next couple weeks we plan on updating this site so keep posted for some more on the Olympics here in Vancouver, BC.
